The Hotel · Our spaces
Our spaces.
Fireside lounges, pub and terrace facing the peaks, the living spaces of the house.

Four spaces to live the mountain.
Beyond the rooms and the two restaurants, the hotel is lived in its shared spaces. Panelled in original arolla wood and furnished across the generations since 1896, they let the day unfold at its own pace, a book by the fire, a game of billiards, a coffee facing Mont-Collon.

01
The Small Lounge
The heart of the house, on the ground floor, where you end up without quite meaning to. Arolla panelling and well-worn armchairs make for an alpine warmth that settles you the moment you arrive. In the evening, the fire crackles in the hearth, a reading corner, a tea, a conversation that lingers.

02
The Historic Lounge
The memory of the house, set apart from the main flow. Portraits of Honorine Gaspoz and the first generations watch over the room, beneath the beam where their names are carved. You can reserve it for drinks with friends, a family meal or a quiet meeting, a space to make your own for a while.

03
The Pub
The hotel's games room, lively at the end of the day. Billiards, table football, cards, and a piano for those so inclined. The adjoining terrace holds on to the last of the daylight, the place to round off an evening after skiing or hiking.

04
The Terrace
Facing Mont-Collon, opening onto the Jardin des Arolles and the glaciers of the Val d'Hérens. Wide and in bloom through the summer, it hosts breakfast in the sun as readily as a late-afternoon aperitif. In fine weather, one of the finest views in Arolla unfolds from the tables.
