Honorine Gaspoz completed the construction alone in 1896. The building she erected, mountain stone, arolla wood, still stands, facing the same peaks.

In 2019, Edi and Cédriane acquired La Grande Dame. A Franco-British couple, a valley at the end of the road, the rest followed.

Hospitality above all
Villagers ski down to the Kurhaus for a drink. Travellers from all over the world come to breathe the air of Arolla. The two coexist naturally.
A preserved setting
Built from cut stone on an arolla-wood frame, the building has stood for more than a century without betraying its original character.
Rooted locally
A team from the neighbouring villages, Valais produce, partnerships with regional artisans. The Kurhaus belongs to Arolla as much as Arolla belongs to it.
